Antique Victorian 14k Gold Fiery Opal Ring Signed
Sold
Gorgeous Victorian 14K yellow gold ring graced with 7 brilliantly fiery opals set in a handmade delicate yet sturdy design. It is so rare to find antique opals that still have this much fire.
The ring is hallmarked 14K and an R in a circle which I believe is the makers mark for the J.W. Richardson & Company of Providence, Rhode Island in business from 1852 until the late 1930's.
The ring is in fantastic condition with only a little dirt on it. The opals are also in great condition. One of the side opals does have either a chip or a natural indent but it is very small and smooth.
The ring is a size 8.5 - 8.75. The ring face measures 18mm x 17mm and stands 12mm high off of the finger
The center opal measures 4.8mm in diameter and the surrounding opals measure between 4mm - 2.1mm
The entire piece weighs a total of 5.8 grams
