This rare Victorian era fob has a darling secret - a secret internal compartment for photos, locks of hair, or other keepsakes. 

An ornate E intaglio is carved into each side of the fob. The banded agate on one side is black on the surface and carved to reveal the white agate layer underneath.

The locket side of the fob has a frosted surface and the carved E reveals the richer orange layer underneath. 

The 14k gold frame suggests a spinning fob, but this piece does not rotate. 

Original fob length is 35mm (1.35")

Added bail increases the length to 43mm (1.75")

Each banded agate disc measures 17mm (.75") in diameter
